Purpose
The Board of Advisors exists to provide guidance, accountability, and strategic insight to support the mission and long-term success of Northbridge Academy.
Authority
The Board of Advisors serves in a non-governing, advisory capacity. Final decision-making authority remains with the Head of School.
Responsibilities
The Board of Advisors may:
Review academic outcomes and instructional effectiveness
Review annual or periodic financial summaries
Provide feedback on school policies and procedures
Advise on institutional growth and sustainability
Support ethical and responsible school operations
Composition
2–3 members
Members are adults with professional, educational, or community experience
Members are not required to be educators
A majority of members should be independent (not immediate family)
Meetings
Meets 2–4 times per year
Meetings may be conducted virtually
Written summaries or minutes are retained
Terms
Members serve renewable one-year terms
Members may resign at any time
Conflict of Interest
Members must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from related discussions as appropriate.
